The Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH), based in Lansing, aims to "reduce and eliminate tobacco-related deaths and diseases in Michigan through leadership, collaboration and education" (MDCH Tobacco). A very important link at this site is labeled Tobacco Program Staff Directory. From there, contact and further advice is as simple as choosing whoever you feel suits your situation best and sending them an email.
American Lung Association
The American Lung Association spreads word about lung diseases such as lung cancer from smoking. This group has good tips on how to quit smoking especially in it's tab labeled Stop Smoking. This site is essentially a lung disease awareness site that can help all sorts of people in their struggle against their disease.

The CDC is an organization that publically announces and talks about diseases, such as lung cancer, and how to prevent such things to happening to you. The fact sheet in the CDC link explains in detail the effects of secondhand smoke.
